How to Freelancer from Home

You have a specific set of skills to freelance with, but don’t know how to freelance from home? Don’t worry… Let’s start with the basics.

Before you start calling clients, offering services, you’ll need to:

1. Write a business plan. This helps you think of your freelance work as a business; with a strategy (services, goals, audience)
2. Check if your country requires a business/freelance license. 
3. Use a portfolio website (like bechance) to show your work.
4. Create a LinkedIn profile. This will be your resume, a professional network, and you can find freelance jobs, too.
5. Open a bank account just for your business’s finances.
6. Dedicate a phone number for clients to reach you.
7. Print business cards, and carry a few with you everywhere!
8. Set a menu of services with your freelance rates.
