Interview with: Fatema Amr فاطمة عَمر (Businesswoman, Freelance Photographer, Travel Blogger)

درست هندسة علمية في طوكيو، لكني كنت دائمًا أفكر أشتغل في قطاع الأعمال. لما خلصت دراسة الماجستير، كان صعب علي أشتغل في مجال الأعمال بسبب خلفيتي العِلمية. فقررت أدرس تسويق ومحاسبة وتصميم الجرافيكي وعلامات تجارية. في ٢٠١٦، وبدون أي خلفية عن مجال الأعمال، فتحت متجر ياباني على الإنترنت ”هيكاري كاواي ستور“ وتم اعتمارده من وزارة التجارة في اليابان.

أنا فخور بأني أول امرأة سعودية تملك شركة معتمدة في طوكيو. وبعد هذه التجربة عرفت أنه مافي شيء مستحيل، وماهو غلط إنك تشتغل في أكثر من مجال، طالما كنت شغوف به.

I studied science engineering in Tokyo but always wanted to work in the business industry. When I finished my master’s degree, it was hard for me to land a job in business due to my scientific background. So I decided to study marketing, branding, accounting, and graphic design. In 2016, with zero business experience, I was able to establish my own Japanese online specialty store @hikari.kawaii.store which is certified from the trade ministry of Japan. 

I’m proud to say that I’m the first Saudi female to own a company that is certified in Tokyo. After my journey, I now know that nothing is impossible and that there’s nothing wrong with doing more than one thing for a living, as long as you’re passionate about it.
